Cut a thin strip of fabric that's about 6 inches wide and is the length of your corset. Lay it out with the nice side up, and the fabric lying vertical. Fold the left side over to the right. At the very top, sew about 1/2 inch in from the left and 1/2 inch down from the top. This allows the fabric to fold easier when it's attached to the two pieces that are already prepared.
