The cold or unexpectedly warm winter – it doesn’t really matter, if take a good care of your hands. The ladies who are used to pay careful attention to the hands’ beauty and health will definitely try to protect them not only from the severe frost but any other weather conditions mother natures is preparing. Cold wind, fine dust (and there is a lot of it due to the lack of snow), freezing rain – all that is the ‘charm’ for a long time coming season.
So what have we learned from it? There is no way, us, ladies, can survive without gloves even though the mild European weather conditions do not let the nasty froze bite the fingertips.
But this season gloves are not just an utilitarian object of the women’s wardrobe but a way to create a total look appearance.
The French house of Hermes, for example, has decided to build an entire collection using the rich dark orange, brick red, and chocolate shades, complementing glove ensembles with the corresponding colours.

Cropped leather gloves, barely covering the wrist, has been identified in the Prada, Marc Jacobs and Luois Vuitton collections.Super long, above the elbow gloves have already ceased to be just an evening wear attribute, even though once it has been strictly a cocktail option. One of the AW 2012 ‘hits’ – long, tight skin gloves. For example, the American designer, Zac Posen, is offering such a long structured gloves that between the top edge and the short sleeves of the dress, there is just a narrow strip of the bare skin while the gloves presented by the Chado Ralph Rucci collection are attracting both with the length and original cuts.
Knitted gloves is another popular model, to be included in the collections of completely different concept brands, from the most democratic, producing mainly the young market clothing (Band of Outsiders & Jill Stuart) to the most expensive and prestigious ones. Knitted gloves, for example, are also making a perfect duet with the luxurious coat brands such as Dennis Basso.
